Kyrie Irving Shave his beard
Kyrie Irving has sported a beard for nearly his entire NBA career with the Cavaliers.Sure, there was a time when Irving didn't have a beard. But we've grown so used to seeing Irving with a beard the past six years that his decision to shave this week rendered the Cavaliers guard completely unrecognizable.
Judging by a quick Twitter search of “Kyrie beard,” a lot of people aren’t fans of the new look. Many also seem to think he looks older with no facial hair, and we honestly can’t disagree. Who will be the first pundit to ask if Kyrie shaving means anything regarding him leaving Cleveland?
There’s been a lot of chatter about Kyrie Irving this NBA offseason, but most of it has been about his request out of Cleveland and not his physical appearance… until now. No, Irving hasn’t gained or lost a lot of weight, nor is he wearing a ridiculous new outfit to try to stand out from the crowd. Kyrie Irving simply shaved his beard, and the Internet collectively can’t believe it’s him.The Cleveland Cavaliers point guard says he needs to be clean-shaven for the next three weeks, but he’s going to try to be as inconspicuous as possible until he can grow his beard back. It didn’t help when a photo of him hit the Twitter on Thursday.
